I enjoyed attending the Primrose Centre’s open day on Friday to learn more about this inspirational charity. A huge thanks to Melanie, Lisa and Jo for their invaluable time.
The Centre has been run for 14 years as a breast cancer support hub, helping patients and their families through the incredibly difficult journey from diagnosis to treatment and beyond.
The dedicated team of staff, volunteers and therapists run various wellness services on site. Having had the opportunity to meet some of the visitors myself, I was deeply impressed by their determination. It was clear from speaking with them just how much they valued the help available.
The Primrose Centre was set up by Mary Spinks, who sadly passed away earlier this year. As part of her legacy, she secured the charity’s converted chapel as a place of calm for those seeking support.
