I’ve received reports of people using catapults to try and kill or maim animals in Priory Gardens. This is a horrific crime and we need to do everything we can do stamp it out. I am also aware that these items have been used to damage local buildings. Bromley Council, the Metropolitan Police, and residents groups are working together proactively to stop this, and they are making some good progress. I have now written to the Home Secretary and asked her to look at a licensing scheme for catapults, which would help restrict the supply of these potentially deadly weapons.
